If you are wondering what things to see in Taranto, we have a unique itinerary. It is called “Quadri Sonori” and it is the project ofICO Magna Graecia, which enjoys the patronage of the City of Taranto and the Archbishop’s Curia of Taranto, designed to help people discover the city’s artistic, cultural and natural heritage through music.

“Quadri Sonori” combines art, music and history and aims to celebrate Taranto’s rich cultural heritage through music tourism. The goal is to promote the enhancement of the city’s cultural heritage, enhance Taranto’s historical monuments and museum collections. Therefore, it invites internationally renowned artists to create musical works that reflect and reinterpret these historic places, thus enriching Taranto’s cultural and artistic experience with a unique musical journey.

The origins of the project

The idea of “Quadri Sonori” was born from the ambitious vision of Maestro Piero Romano of the Orchestra of Magna Graecia, who declared from the very beginning that he wanted to combine the beauty and sacredness of historical monuments with the expressive power of music. From there, the desire to design a unique musical journey through collaboration with prestigious national and international composers and musicians.

The main objective of “Quadri Sonori” is to offer visitors a new and exciting way to experience Taranto’s iconic monuments and spaces.
